1. Agreement to Terms

By purchasing or using any services offered by BlExpat ("Service," "we," "us," or "our"), you ("Client," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our Services.

2. Services Provided

2.1 Nature of Services

BlExpat provides informational consulting services related to international relocation, including but not limited to:

Research and information compilation about international residency options
Country comparison analysis based on client-provided criteria
General guidance on visa pathways and relocation processes
Resource directories and planning frameworks

2.2 Services Are Informational Only

CRITICAL: Our services provide information, education, and general guidance ONLY. We explicitly DO NOT provide: legal advice, financial advice, guaranteed outcomes, tax advice, real estate brokerage, insurance advice, or medical/healthcare advice.

You acknowledge that we are not attorneys, financial advisors, immigration consultants, or licensed professionals in any regulated field. All information provided is educational and for general informational purposes. You are responsible for independently verifying all information and must consult appropriate licensed professionals before making any relocation decisions.

3. Service-Specific Terms

3.1 Escape Hatch Roadmap Consultation

Included:

30-minute complimentary initial consultation call
Detailed intake questionnaire review
Customized research report comparing 3–5 countries based on your criteria
Step-by-step pathway recommendation for your top choice(s)
Resource directory
Report delivered within 7–10 business days via Google Doc

Not Included:

Legal review of contracts or documents
Ongoing support beyond report delivery (available as a separate service)
Guarantees about visa approval, property acquisition, or relocation success
Updates if visa rules, exchange rates, or regulations change after report delivery

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Pricing

Escape Hatch Roadmap: $797.00 USD (community pricing may be available at $497.00 USD at our sole discretion).

4.2 Payment Methods

Payment is due in full at time of purchase. We accept major credit cards and other methods as displayed at checkout.

4.3 Refund Policy

Full refund available if requested before research begins (typically within 48 hours of purchase). Once research has commenced, a 50% refund may be issued at our discretion. No refunds after report delivery.

5. Client Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate and complete information during the intake process, respond to follow-up questions in a timely manner, independently verify all information provided, consult licensed professionals before making legal, financial, or immigration decisions, and use our services for personal planning purposes only — not for resale or redistribution.

6. Intellectual Property

All research reports, templates, guides, and content created by BlExpat remain our intellectual property. Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use your deliverables. You may not reproduce, distribute, or share your report with others without written permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BlExpat's total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BlExpat, its owner, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of our services, your violation of these Terms, or any decisions you make based on information we provide.

9. Privacy & Communications

We collect only information necessary to provide services. We will not share your personal information with third parties except as required by law, with your explicit consent, or with service providers necessary for business operations. By using our Services, you consent to email communication for service delivery and optional marketing emails (you may unsubscribe at any time).

10. Disclaimers

SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. Our services do NOT create an attorney-client relationship, financial advisor-client relationship, immigration consultant-client relationship, or any fiduciary duty beyond providing information as described.

We may provide links or referrals to third-party service providers as a courtesy. We do not endorse or guarantee the quality of third-party services, are not responsible for their actions or omissions, and receive no compensation for referrals unless explicitly disclosed.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with a new "Last Updated" date, take effect immediately for new purchases, and will not affect services already purchased under previous terms.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Washtenaw County, Michigan. Before filing any formal claim, you agree to contact us to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

13. General Provisions

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and BlExpat regarding our Services. If any provision is found unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
